European Solidarity Corps is an international volunteer program funded by the European Commission. It helps young people aged between 18 and 30 years, to carry out an international volunteer service in an organization or in a public body in Europe, Africa, Asia or South America for a period ranging from 2 weeks to 12 months. Thanks to the intercultural dimension and its non-formal approach, European Solidarity Corps is a unique opportunity to come into contact with cultures different from your own and to acquire new skills and abilities useful for your personal and professional growth.
They will stay in Romania for 6 months and do voluntary work in different fields – Recycling and up-cycling, online radio, news portal, working in kindergartens, herbalism, helping Youth Association from Transylvania, organizing puppet shows and helping out the providence association. There are volunteers one from Italy, one from Portugal, one from Spain, three from Hungary and two from Estonia. There are also 2 volunteers staying for extra time to help out with the work from previous volunteer flow. They are from Latvia and Hungary.
All the volunteers are very excited and motivated about this project and ready to help the organization with their work in every way. Everybody are really happy with their decision to come to Transylvania and want to learn more about the culture. Some people are from very far countries, so for them, everything about the culture is different. All the volunteers are excited about their projects and also with helping others and learning about their projects. Volunteers are also really amazed about the beautiful nature and want to discover more.
Everybody are expecting to have a great time and learn more about their projects to do more and also would like to help others with their projects to learn and get excperience from different fields. Everybody wants to get to know the people from Cristuru Secuiesc and are waiting to meet new people.
